Report an incorrect, incomplete, or outdated guide
Submitting a correction does not automatically change published information. Appliance Help HQ reviews reported corrections against reliable manufacturer documentation before updating a guide.
For a correction, please provide as much of the following as possible:
- URL of the Appliance Help HQ page being reported
- Appliance brand
- Appliance type
- Error code
- Appliance model number, if relevant
- What information you believe is incorrect, incomplete, or outdated
- The corrected information you believe should replace it
- Official manufacturer source URL supporting the correction
- Manufacturer document or manual title, if applicable
- Manual page number or section, if applicable
- Date the manufacturer source was accessed
- Any useful notes explaining the discrepancy
Preferred correction evidence
Manufacturer documentation is the best evidence for changing a guide. Useful sources include official pages, service bulletins, owner manuals, installation documents, or support articles from LG, Samsung, GE Appliances, Whirlpool, Maytag, Frigidaire, Bosch, or another applicable manufacturer.
Random blogs, forums, social media posts, AI-generated answers, and unsourced repair websites may be reviewed as leads, but they should not automatically replace manufacturer-backed information.
Other reports
You can also report a broken link, an accessibility problem, a confusing page, or a general site question. Correction submissions are reviewed, but publication or a specific change is not guaranteed.
