Electrolux Range F10 Error Code

Treat F10 as an overheating safety alert, not a parts verdict. Turn the oven off, let it cool completely, and do not continue cooking if F10 persists or returns.

The oven detected a higher-than-normal temperature condition that Electrolux labels Thermal Runaway.

What may contribute

Possible causes

  • The oven has detected temperature above its expected operating range.
  • On supported Stone-Baked Pizza models, Electrolux notes that an incorrect Pizza Shield or rack position can contribute to F10.
  • If the alert returns after cooling, internal sensing, control, relay, wiring, or heating-system diagnosis may be required, but the code alone does not isolate one part.

Safe preliminary checks

Work in order and stop whenever a step is not supported by the documentation for your model.

  1. Turn the oven off and record F10

    • Cancel cooking, photograph the display, and keep people away from the appliance if heat appears uncontrolled.
    • Do not touch elements, vents, trim, or internal surfaces while the oven is hot.

  2. Let the oven cool completely

    • Electrolux says standard range and wall-oven users should turn the oven off and allow it to cool before using it again.
    • If smoke, sparks, burning odor, or uncontrolled heating continues, do not attempt a reset. Disconnect power only if that can be done safely and seek qualified help.

  3. Use model-specific pizza guidance only when it applies

    • If the exact model has Electrolux Stone-Baked Pizza mode, compare the Pizza Shield and rack position with that model manual before trying the feature again.
    • Do not apply pizza-mode instructions to models that do not document them. If F10 returns, stop oven use and request service.

Actions not recommended

  • Do not continue cooking to see whether an overheating oven will stabilize on its own.
  • Do not access the oven probe, relays, elements, wiring, or control boards as a homeowner check.
  • Do not replace a temperature sensor, relay, control, element, or harness solely because F10 appeared.

When to stop and request service

  • Request qualified service if F10 persists, returns after the oven cools, or temperature appears uncontrolled.
  • Leave the appliance off after smoke, sparks, burning odor, repeated breaker trips, or uncontrolled heating until it has been professionally evaluated.
  • For a newly installed unit with an unresolved F10 condition, Electrolux directs owners back to the installer.
