Safe preliminary checks

Work in order and stop whenever a step is not supported by the documentation for your model.

  1. Record E11 and the exact model

    • Photograph the display before clearing it and note the complete model number.
    • Use the exact owner or installation guide for water-supply requirements and inlet identification.

  2. Check the visible water supplies

    • Confirm the hot and cold household valves are open and that the visible hoses are not sharply kinked or crushed.
    • Do not loosen a pressurized hose while the washer is running.

  3. Confirm hot and cold routing

    • With the washer stopped, compare the visible hot and cold hose routing with the labeled washer inlets.
    • If a hose must be corrected, close the water supplies and disconnect power first, then follow the model installation instructions.

  4. Respect the lock delay

    • Electrolux notes that E11 can leave some washers locked for up to six minutes.
    • Do not repeatedly unplug the washer to force the door because reconnecting power can restart that lock period.

  • Do not force the door or bypass the lock while the washer is managing the E11 condition.
  • Do not remove panels or test inlet valves, sensors, wiring, or live voltage.
