Electrolux Washer SU dS Error Code

Electrolux says SU dS means the washer detected oversudsing. The manufacturer directs owners to use HE detergent, reduce over-dosing, and let the washer perform the extra rinses it uses to clear suds.

Work in order and stop whenever a step is not supported by the documentation for your model.

  1. Let the washer clear suds normally

    • Allow the supported washer to perform its extra rinse cycles unless there is leaking or another safety problem.
    • Electrolux notes that each extra rinse can add about five minutes to the cycle.

  2. Review detergent type and dose

    • Use only high-efficiency detergent and measure the amount rather than filling by eye.
    • Reduce the dose when the detergent label and washer manual call for less product for the load or water conditions.

  3. Use the documented empty cleaning cycle

    • After the washer is safe and the suds condition has cleared, Electrolux recommends an empty Quick Wash cycle to help clean the unit.
    • Use only model-supported cleaning procedures and products.

  4. Clear the alert with normal controls

    • Use Cancel to turn off the alert message as Electrolux documents.
    • If SU dS returns with correct HE detergent and dosing, request support instead of repeatedly adding rinse cycles.

  • Do not add more detergent to a washer that is already oversudsing.
  • Do not open panels, bypass locks, or inspect internal pressure, pump, sensor, wiring, or control components.
  • Do not treat SU dS as proof of a failed pump or pressure sensor.

When to stop and request service

  • SU dS returns repeatedly after HE detergent type and dosing are corrected.
  • The washer leaks, cannot clear the suds condition, or cannot complete a normal drain/rinse cycle.
