What may contribute

Possible causes

  • A temporary control state may clear after a power cycle.
  • A heater, temperature-sensing, wiring, control, or related internal condition may need service.
  • The code does not prove that the heating element itself is defective.

Work in order and stop whenever a step is not supported by the documentation for your model.

  1. Record the code and cycle context

    • Photograph F4 E3 and note whether the code appeared during washing, drying, or after a recent power interruption.
    • Stop immediately for burning odor, smoke, unusual heat, or a breaker trip.

  2. Use one documented power cycle

    • Disconnect power for 30 seconds if the dishwasher is dry externally and there are no electrical warning signs.
    • Restore power and try normal operation once. If F4 E3 returns, request service.
