The dishwasher detected a control or communication fault involving the user interface and main-control system.

Possible causes

  • A temporary control communication state may clear after one reset.
  • A user-interface, main-control, harness, connector, or power-supply path may require service diagnosis.
  • The display code alone cannot identify which electronic component has failed.

Work in order and stop whenever a step is not supported by the documentation for your model.

  1. Record whether the code is F6 E1 or F2 E2

    • Photograph the display or count the flashing sequence before removing power.
    • Note any recent outage, surge, moisture event, or control-panel behavior for the service technician.

  2. Power cycle once for 30 seconds

    • Disconnect power at the plug or normal dishwasher breaker for 30 seconds if there are no electrical or water hazards.
