  1. Look for visible water without opening the appliance

    • Inspect the floor, cabinet opening, and owner-visible water connections for active leakage.
    • If water is actively escaping, shut off the dishwasher water supply when safely accessible and keep water away from electrical parts.

  2. Use the documented control action once

    • If there is no active flooding or electrical hazard, press Cancel twice as JennAir directs.
    • Try one normal cycle only after visible connections are dry and secure. If the code returns, stop and schedule service.

Actions not recommended

  • Do not remove the dishwasher base, motor, diverter, seals, or electrical covers.
  • Do not keep running cycles to locate an internal leak.
  • Do not assume the diverter motor itself is the only possible failed part.
