Samsung Washer Cb Error Code

Samsung uses Calibration mode to recalibrate load-weight detection after installation or adjustment. On many models, Cb appears after entering the mode, the washer must be empty, and Start/Pause begins a short automatic tub-rotation routine.

Possible causes

  • Calibration mode was intentionally selected after installation, leveling, moving, or troubleshooting.
  • A button combination was held long enough to enter Calibration mode accidentally.
  • If calibration will not start or complete with an empty, correctly installed washer, the exact model may require support or service.

Safe preliminary checks

Work in order and stop whenever a step is not supported by the documentation for your model.

  1. Verify the model supports Calibration mode

    • Record the full model number and check its owner manual before continuing.
    • If the manual does not describe Calibration mode, do not improvise a button sequence from another Samsung washer.

  2. Make sure the washer is completely empty

    • Remove all clothing and loose items from the tub or drum before starting calibration.
    • Confirm the washer is installed and stable in its normal operating position.

  3. Start calibration only with the documented controls

    • On many models Samsung uses Temp + Delay End to display Cb, followed by Start/Pause, but the exact sequence varies.
    • Once calibration begins, keep hands out of the washer and allow the tub to rotate automatically until the model reports completion.

  4. Know what normal completion looks like

    • Samsung documents a short routine, commonly about one to three minutes, that can end with En, End, or 0 before the washer turns off.
    • If the tub does not rotate, the mode aborts repeatedly, or an actual error code appears, stop and use the exact error guidance or request service.

Actions not recommended

  • Do not run calibration with clothing or other items in the washer.
  • Do not reach into the tub while it is rotating or bypass a door or lid interlock.
  • Do not repeatedly force Calibration mode on a model whose manual does not support it.

When to stop and request service

  • Calibration will not start or finish on a model that supports it after confirming the washer is empty and properly installed.
  • The tub does not rotate during the model-supported calibration routine or a true error code appears.
  • The washer has violent movement, grinding, a leak, an electrical warning sign, or another condition that makes operation unsafe.
