  1. Stop for active overflow or electrical risk

    • If water is actively overflowing or approaching the plug, outlet, cord, or another electrical area, do not touch wet electrical equipment.
    • Shut off the washer water supply and power only from a safe dry location if you can do so safely, then request help.

  2. Record the code and review detergent

    • Photograph F8 E3 and confirm the full model number.
    • Verify that only HE detergent is being used and measure it according to the detergent label, washer instructions, load size, concentration, and water conditions.

  3. Check bleach product guidance
