Electrolux Washer HO SE Error Code

HO SE is an installation alert, not proof of a failed washer part. Electrolux directs owners to cancel the alert, shut off the water supplies, and correct the hot/cold hose connections to the labeled washer inlets.

Possible causes

  • The hot household supply may be connected to the washer cold inlet.
  • The cold household supply may be connected to the washer hot inlet.
  • A recent installation or move may have swapped hose routing.

Work in order and stop whenever a step is not supported by the documentation for your model.

  1. Record HO SE and verify the model

    • Photograph the message and note the complete model number.
    • Use the exact installation guide to identify the labeled hot and cold washer inlets.

  2. Cancel and shut off the water

    • Use the normal Cancel control.
    • Turn off both household water supply valves before loosening any hose connection.

  3. Correct only the visible hose routing

    • With power disconnected and water off, attach each supply hose to the correctly labeled washer inlet according to the installation instructions.
    • Restore the water supplies carefully and check the external connections for leaks before normal use.

Actions not recommended

  • Do not swap hoses while they are pressurized or while the washer has power.
  • Do not remove panels or test inlet valves, temperature sensors, wiring, or live voltage.
  • Do not treat HO SE as a reason to replace an internal washer part before correcting the installation.

When to stop and request service

  • HO SE returns after the hot and cold hoses are confirmed on the correct inlets.
  • A supply valve will not close, a connection leaks, or the appliance cannot be accessed safely.
  • The next step would require internal valve, sensor, wiring, or control diagnosis.
