LG Dryer tE1 / tE3 Error Code

  1. Record the exact code and model

    • Photograph whether the display shows tE1 or tE3 and record the full model number.
    • Stop for smoke, a burning odor, sparking, scorching, unusual heat, or other electrical warning signs.

  2. Perform the LG-documented reset once

    • Unplug the dryer or switch off its dedicated circuit breaker.
    • While the dryer remains without power, press and hold Start/Pause for five seconds, then restore power and try one supported cycle.

    • If tE1 or tE3 returns, stop resetting and request qualified appliance service.
