LG Range F16 Error Code

Safe preliminary checks

Work in order and stop whenever a step is not supported by the documentation for your model.

  1. Record the code and oven state

    • Press CLEAR/OFF, photograph F16, and record the model number, cooking mode, and set temperature.
    • Allow the oven to cool completely before any further observation.

  2. Check only for visible external hazards

    • Look for smoke, burning odor, scorching, or visible damage without removing covers or touching internal sensors.
    • If the oven was heating uncontrollably, keep it off and request service rather than retrying it.

  3. Use LG’s reset once

    • When no hazard is present, retry the normal function once after cooling.
    • If F16 reappears, turn the range circuit breaker off for 30 seconds, restore power once, and request service if F16 returns.
