LG Range F62 Error Code

F62 points to the temperature-sensing system used by the sous-vide feature. It does not prove which sensor, connection, wire, or control is defective. Stop the function, let hot water and surrounding surfaces cool, record the code, and use LG’s 30-second breaker reset once.

  • A temporary sous-vide temperature-sensing or electronic condition.
  • A temperature signal outside the range the control expects.
  • An internal temperature sensor, connector, wiring, or control-system problem requiring qualified diagnosis if F62 returns.

Work in order and stop whenever a step is not supported by the documentation for your model.

  1. Stop the function and let everything cool

    • Turn the sous-vide function off and allow any hot water, vessel, accessory, and surrounding cooking surface to cool before handling.
    • Use care around hot water and steam; do not reach into a hot vessel simply to investigate the code.

  2. Record the code and verify only user-facing setup

    • Photograph F62 and record the full model number.
    • Follow the exact model manual only for normal user-removable vessel or accessory placement and cleaning. Do not attempt to expose or clean an internal temperature sensor.
    • Stop for cracked parts, leaking liquid near electrical areas, smoke, sparking, burning odor, or unusual heat.

  3. Use LG’s reset once

    • Turn the range circuit breaker off for 30 seconds and restore power once, as LG directs for F62.
    • If F62 returns, leave the sous-vide feature off and request service.

Actions not recommended

  • Do not open the sous-vide, cooktop, control, or wiring enclosure to reach the temperature sensor.
  • Do not test sensor resistance, continuity, or live voltage, and do not insert electrical test leads into connectors.
  • Do not replace a sensor or control board based on F62 alone.

When to stop and request service

  • Request appliance service if F62 returns after one documented reset.
  • Stop using the feature for leaking liquid near electrical areas, cracked components, smoke, sparking, burning odor, repeated breaker trips, or uncontrolled heating.
  • Provide the exact code, model number, and what the sous-vide feature was doing when F62 appeared.
