LG Range F69 Error Code

F69 means the appliance detected a sous-vide heating problem. It does not identify a failed heater, sensor, relay, wire, or control. Stop the function, allow hot water and surfaces to cool, verify only the model-documented user setup, and use LG’s reset once.

Applies to LG range with integrated sous-vide feature

What the appliance detected

Detected condition

LG says F69 indicates that the sous-vide feature is not heating properly.

What may contribute

Possible causes

  • The sous-vide system did not heat as the control expected.
  • A temporary electronic condition that clears after the supported reset.
  • An internal heater, sensor, connection, wiring, relay, or control-system problem requiring qualified diagnosis if F69 returns.

Start conservatively

Safe preliminary checks

Work in order and stop whenever a step is not supported by the documentation for your model.

  1. Stop heating and cool the system

    • Turn the sous-vide function off and allow hot water, any vessel or accessory, and nearby cooking surfaces to cool before handling.
    • Avoid steam and hot-water burns; do not move or drain hot components merely to investigate the code unless the exact owner manual directs it.
  2. Check only the normal model-documented setup

    • Photograph F69 and record the full model number.
    • Use the exact model manual to confirm only user-facing setup such as approved accessories and normal control selections. Do not infer a universal fill level, heater location, or service procedure.
    • Stop for leaks near electrical areas, cracked parts, smoke, sparking, burning odor, or abnormal heat.
  3. Reset once, then request service if it returns

    • Turn the range circuit breaker off for 30 seconds and restore power once, as LG directs for F69.
    • If F69 returns, leave the sous-vide feature off and request service.

Actions not recommended

  • Do not open the sous-vide, cooktop, control, or wiring enclosure to inspect a heater or sensor.
  • Do not test heater resistance, relay outputs, amperage, continuity, or live voltage as a homeowner step.
  • Do not replace a heater, sensor, relay, or control board based on F69 alone.

When to stop and request service

  • Request appliance service if F69 returns after one documented reset.
  • Stop using the feature for leaking liquid near electrical areas, smoke, sparking, burning odor, repeated breaker trips, cracked components, or uncontrolled heating.
  • Provide the technician with the exact code, model number, selected sous-vide settings, and whether any heating occurred.
