Work in order and stop whenever a step is not supported by the documentation for your model.

  1. Record the exact code and cooking mode

    • Photograph whether the display shows F7, F17, F45, or F46 and record the model number.
    • Note whether convection, preheat, cooling, or another cooking mode was active when the code appeared.

  2. Listen without reaching into vents

    • After the oven is cool, note any abnormal scraping, clanking, or loud rattling that occurs during normal operation.
    • Do not insert tools, fingers, or objects through vents or fan openings.

  3. Use LG’s reset once

    • For F7 and F17, clear the function normally first when the controls respond.
    • Turn the range circuit breaker off for 30 seconds, restore power once, and request service if any of these fan codes returns.
