Start conservatively

Work in order and stop whenever a step is not supported by the documentation for your model.
Record the exact message and model
- Photograph whether the display shows PF, PF id=27, or PF id=30.
- Confirm the complete model and owner manual before changing clock or control settings.
Clear the message as Maytag documents
- Press Cancel to clear the power-failure display.
- Reset the time-of-day clock only if the exact model manual requires it.
Stop if power is not stable
- Confirm normal operation without opening panels or electrical connections.
- If PF returns without a known outage, the breaker trips, or power appears unstable, stop using the appliance and obtain qualified help.
Actions not recommended
- Do not open panels, outlets, junction boxes, wiring connections, or controls to investigate PF.
- Do not perform energized-voltage or continuity tests.
- Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker or continue using an appliance with unstable power.
