Samsung Dishwasher LC / LE Error Code

LC/LE is a leak or moisture condition and should be treated cautiously. Safe checks are external leak observation, stopping water hazards, and model-supported reflector obstruction checks where applicable.

  • The leak sensor detects moisture.
  • There may be an actual leak, improper installation, or leftover moisture from installation.
  • On Waterwall models, the water reflector may be blocked.
  • A recurring moisture condition may require service.

Work in order and stop whenever a step is not supported by the documentation for your model.

  1. Record the code and inspect for active leaks

    • Photograph or write down LC or LE before clearing the display.
    • Look for visible water around the door, toe-kick area, supply line, drain line, and floor without removing panels.

  2. Stop and control water safely

    • If an active leak is present, stop using the dishwasher and shut off the water supply if you can do so safely.
    • Keep water away from cords, outlets, controls, and the dishwasher electrical connection.

  3. Check model-specific external causes only

    • If the exact Waterwall model manual supports a user-accessible reflector check, remove only visible obstructions as directed.
    • If moisture cannot be identified or the code returns, request Samsung service.

Actions not recommended

  • Do not keep trying cycles while a leak code is active.
  • Do not remove panels, access the leak sensor, tilt the dishwasher, or dry internal areas with heat.
  • Do not work on water lines or electrical connections unless qualified.
