What the appliance detected
Detected condition
GE says this usually indicates an issue with the upper cooling-fan circuit or an obstruction in the cooling fan.
What may contribute
Possible causes
- An obstruction in the cooling fan, as identified by GE.
- An issue somewhere in the upper cooling-fan circuit, as identified by GE.
Start conservatively
Safe preliminary checks
Work in order and stop whenever a step is not supported by the documentation for your model.
Record the code and exact model
- Photograph or write down F350 before clearing the display or disconnecting power.
- Confirm the model number and use the owner manual for that exact range or wall oven.
Stop oven operation and observe externally
- Cancel oven operation and let the appliance cool without reaching into vents or near heating components.
- Do not insert anything into a vent or attempt to reach the cooling fan. Silencing the alarm with Cancel does not establish that the condition has been repaired.
Follow GE breaker guidance once
- If there is no immediate hazard, GE says turning off the circuit breaker or fuse that powers the appliance for one or two minutes may sometimes clear a fault code.
- A cleared display is not proof of repair. Some controls will not reset, and GE recommends leaving the appliance off at the breaker until it is serviced.
Keep any temporary surface-unit use within GE limits
- For a range only, GE says the breaker may be restored long enough to use surface units temporarily if they operate normally and no hazard is present.
- Do not use the oven, and turn the range off at the breaker again when finished. Stop immediately for smoke, sparking, a burning smell, abnormal heat, visible wiring damage, or a breaker trip.
Actions not recommended
- Do not remove panels, inspect the fan, test energized parts, perform continuity tests, or replace the fan or control based on the code alone.
- Do not insert tools or fingers into vents or attempt to clear an internal obstruction.
- Do not keep resetting the breaker when F350 returns.
When to stop and request service
- GE recommends a trained service technician diagnose and correct an electronic-control fault code.
- Request service if F350 remains or returns after the one documented breaker interruption.
- Leave the appliance off and request urgent professional help for smoke, sparking, a burning smell, uncontrolled heating, visible wiring damage, repeated breaker trips, or abnormal heat.
