  1. Record the exact code, model, and water condition

    • Photograph or write down the exact code and note whether water is still entering or escaping.
    • Confirm the full model number and washer configuration before following any drain or filter instructions.

  2. Stop a continuous-fill condition

    • If the washer continues filling, stop operation, turn off the water-supply valves, and request service as Samsung directs.
    • Do not attempt a reset while water continues entering or escaping.

  3. Check level and the visible drain hose

    • If water is contained and the washer has stopped filling, confirm the washer is level and stable.
    • Inspect the visible drain hose for kinks, damage, or placement that differs from the exact model installation instructions.

  5. Do not reset before troubleshooting
