Samsung Washer Ub / U6 / Ur / UE / 1 Ub / 1U6 Error Code

The Ub family identifies an unbalanced load. Ur specifically means the washer is retrying by adding water, attempting to rebalance the load, and trying the spin cycle again; it does not necessarily mean the washer has a fault.

    • Photograph or write down whether the washer shows Ub, U6, Ur, UE, 1 Ub, or 1U6.
    • Confirm the full model number because Samsung documents model-dependent meanings for some similar codes, including dc.

  2. Recognize a Ur retry

    • Ur means the washer is attempting to add water, rebalance the load, and retry the spin cycle, which extends the cycle.
    • Ur is an informational retry message and does not necessarily mean there is an issue with the washer.

  3. Rearrange an unbalanced load safely

    • For the other listed codes, use the normal controls and wait for the tub to stop completely and the door or lid to unlock normally.
    • Untangle and rearrange the laundry so it is distributed more evenly in the tub.
    • Close the door or lid and restart the cycle using the Start button.

  4. Preserve a recurring code

    • Do not repeatedly reset the washer if the unbalanced-load code continues after the documented load check.
    • Samsung warns that resetting can erase diagnostic history that may be useful to a technician without correcting the underlying condition.
